Patrick McKeown is a pioneer in his field and a renowned breath expert, and has just authored another book called “The Breathing Cure”  He is passionately motivated to teach people how to breathe correctly. He has been on the Made to Thrive show before and we are honored to have him back as his knowledge and passion are so valuable. Patrick is a world- renowned author and breathing practitioner who was educated at Trinity College in Dublin, before completing his clinical training in the Buteyko Breathing Method.  This training was accredited by Professor Konstantin Buteyko.From a young age, Patrick suffered from asthma and relied on an array of medicines and inhalers until he discovered the Buteyko Method at the age of 26; he experienced immediate relief from his symptoms. By applying the principles of the Buteyko Method, Patrick has remained asthma-free, something that 20+ years of medication failed to accomplish.Patrick was recently made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology in the UK for his contribution to our understanding of breathwork.Patrick’s message is simple: how you breathe at rest and during exercise will affect your overall performance.
