Patrick discusses his upbringing and how he prepared himself to write professionally. He also details his experiences in the writers' room of each show he's worked on including The Leftovers. Patrick also talks about his short story that impressed The Leftovers' co-creator, Damon Lindelof, and played a part in Patrick's hiring for Season 2.
