Paul Bergeron on his first race with Stanford, where you should put your energy in order to get better, advice for the post season and more

from Running In Circles · host Zach Hamilton

Today I’m joined by Paul Bergeron! Paul is a freshman at Stanford and will play a crucial role in the success of their distance program for years to come. He just raced his first college 8k where he ran 23:28 and placed 13th overall. Stanford also took home the team win, but as we discuss in the episode the team really isn’t putting too much weight on these early season meets and they want to race their best at NCAA National meet. In high school his personal bests included 8:39 in the 2 mile and 14:14 in the 5k. He was also a 2 time cross country State champion in his home state of Massachusetts and a 2 time Footlocker National Cross Country Championships meet qualifier. In this episode we go into how he’s liking Stanford so far and much more! If you enjoy my conversation with Paul I’d really appreciate it if you took a few seconds to share it with a friend and leave a five star review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts!
