Paul Egan... In Company with Courtney

from In Company with Courtney · host incompanywithcourtney

Welcome to Bloomsbury Professional’s In Company with Courtney, hosted by Tom Courtney, author of The Law of Companies and consultant with Bloomsbury Professional. In each episode Tom Courtney speaks with a leading light in Irish company law and corporate governance. This podcast is of interest to everyone and anyone with a passing interest in company law, so whether you are a practicing lawyer or accountant, a business person who has to manage your interactions with the Companies Act 2014 or students of company law, I hope you find at least something of interest to you in each episode. In this episode I’m in company with Paul Egan, an old friend with whom I worked for many years, as a colleague and fellow member of The Law Society, when I practised law for over 30 years and particularly when we both served on the Company Law Review Group. Paul is currently the Chair of the Company Law Review Group, a member of the Council of the Law Society of Ireland, and a member of the Council of the Faculty of Notaries in Ireland.  Paul is the author of a number of company law books, including Irish Securities Law, published by Bloomsbury Professional, which was joint winner of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association law book of the year for 2021.
