This week I kicked off with a live cross-over into Graham Moore’s Full English Show, and we went straight into a big question: who exactly are “the British”? Graham laid out his constitutional argument that “British” is a modern legal construction layered over older national identities, and we ranged through the Acts of Union, the British Nationality Act, Parliament, common law, and why words like England, Britain, Briton and British still matter.
