Paul McNulty

from EC2 · host Ella Choi

In this episode, I chat with Paul McNulty. Paul McNulty is one of today’s most respected fortepiano builders, known for his historically informed craftsmanship and deep musical insight. After studying at the Peabody Conservatory and training in piano technology in Boston, he moved to the Czech Republic, where he has built over 300 replicas of instruments by makers such as Stein, Walter, Graf, and Pleyel. His instruments are featured in major recordings and collections worldwide, including modern reproductions of pianos once played by Chopin and Liszt.
