Paul - RELIGION and REASON

from Rabbit Holes & Meditations - Christian Bible Study · host gregenewell

I was a major philosophy buff in my later years... and an atheist. Until I found someone that could meet me where I stood, could make the message of Christ resonate with my existing world view. Oh, to be a fly on the wall when Paul addressed the Greeks! Paul was not out to "win". He knew that a head-on confrontation with the Epicureans and the Stoics would not go well. What he did was magical - and changed the world.  I'm kind of upset frankly, that in all of my philosophical studies, Paul's message was not part of the teaching. I guess that speaks to the objective view and motivation of most philosophy teachers. Somehow, reason and religion don't mix... except when they do.  NOTES: Paul, Religion and Reason
