Paul Stenhouse: Meta launches AI coding agent, Wispr AI seemingly moving into the meeting notetaker market

In the tech world now, nothing is new – just new players joining markets  Meta has launched their own AI coding agent called “Muse Code”, which they say is designed for large, sprawling code bases. It doesn’t have a subscription offering though, so it’s pay per use. It’s also around the same price as the other frontier models, unless you decide to opt into let your code be used for training which will make it 1/10th of the price. It’s arguably about as good as OpenAIs Codex, but lags behind Anthropic’s Claude.    A new addition to the note taking market too   Wispr AI —one of the best dictation AI tools around— is about to get into the meeting notetaker market. It hadn’t been announced yet, but changes to its legal docs suggest the move. The tool will apparently use your system audio to listen into the meeting, similar to Granola, then create the notes for you. They’ll be searchable via AI too of course.   Other note taking services join as a pseudo person, which makes it more obvious you’re being recorded.
