"Paul's Letter to the Philippians -- The Fourth Witness of the Mind of Christ is Compelling"

We have come in this magnificent letter of the Apostle Paul to the ending in the second chapter.  Today we shall consider the fourth “witness” to the mind of Christ as it works itself out in the intricacies of daily living.  We have already seen three witnesses revealed in Paul’s letter, Christ the greatest of all, Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles, and Timothy, Paul’s close friend and fellow worker.  Now, one of  the Philippian’s own is mentioned as the chapter closes, Epaphroditus.  He had come to Rome to bring a gift for the support of the apostle, imprisoned in Rome and awaiting his trial which he expected to occur quite soon.  But there were some issues revealed that Paul now addresses in this letter and which Epaphroditus will deliver back to his home church.  Today we will consider those issues and how the apostle with great feeling and compassion addresses them.  The witness of Christ and these three additional witnesses are compelling as we shall see.
