"Paul's Letter to the Philippians — The Witness of the Apostle Paul — Christ’s Resurrection Power Changed Me!”
from libertyMESSENGER.org · host Jim Spoerl Pastor / Teacher
Today we will examine further Paul’s statement in Philippians 3:10 regarding his threefold blessing in gaining his knowledge of Christ. These three focus initially on the “power of his resurrection”, or, as he writes also in this same verse, “having been made conformable unto his death”. We continue next time with this same focus since the meaning here is so precious and so powerful. But the gist of this powerful teaching is that the living out of resurrection life is dependent upon death to begin with and the apostle states it here exactly that way, “to know him and the power of his resurrection . . . having been made conformable unto his death.” We will look at a number of other scriptures showing in detail what this means, especially from his second letter to the Corinthians where he reveals himself as the witness of the resurrected life of Christ himself as that powerfully operated in him.
