"Paul's Letter to the Philippians — The Witness of the Apostle Paul — Sharing Christ’s Suffering Is Our Glory and Should Be Our Joy AND Calling”

Today we will continue with those key verses in Philippians 3, especially verse 10 where the apostle writes that suffering together with Christ would be his life long challenge, even his calling!  If that is the case, then as he writes elsewhere in 2 Corinthians in several places and in Colossians 1 where we will focus today, suffering with Christ is even better than deliverance.  In fact, if the grace of Christ is sufficient even then, Paul learned that his suffering must, therefore, continue so that God in his great work through him might be glorified.  For, as he writes here in Phil. 2:13, it is He who is working all things together according to His glorious will and His good pleasure.  We shall also see in these verses that his example is an example that dictates the same for each of us too.  For an example has no power or application practically speaking otherwise.
