Pause and Breathe

We all need moments throughout our day where we pause and breathe, turning our eyes to Christ and off the craziness around us. Here's a new way I've been reminding myself to take those moments. What helps you? Verses referenced: Pause and seek strength-- 1 Chronicles 16:11 "Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!" Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." Pause and give your burdens to Christ-- Psalm 55:22 "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you, he will never permit the righteous to be moved." 1 Peter 5:7 "casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Pause and give thanks-- Psalm 118:29 "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever." Pause and rest-- Psalm 116:7 "Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you." Matthew 11:28-30 "'Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.'"
