Paws, Claws & A Cause' - The 'New' Lake Oconee Humane Society!

Today, we are talking about one of everyone’s favorite non-profits, the Humane Society, specifically, the Lake Oconee Humane Society! It’s a new name, but the same organization that we all know and love. Diane Robinson & Jeri-Michel Duncan are joining me to talk about the name change, the current work they are doing, some things you may not know about the organization and a wonderful upcoming event that you don’t want to miss, celebrating 25 years of helping animals and saving lives in the Lake Country. We’ll talk about some real stories with happy endings, such as the adoption of Tanner, an older “doggie” gentleman who found his new, forever home and Freckles, a shy little fellow who came out of his shell with the help of his foster families! We’ll talk about some of the challenges the organization is facing during these tough economic times of inflation and rising costs and what the community can do to help the effort. And we will talk about the upcoming Wine, Wags & Whiskers event on August 9th, which promises to be amazing, with live entertainment, wine tasting, great food and fun, all for a good cause!
