Paxton carries Wilson County vote in May 26 party primary runoffs

Ken Paxton and Carlos De La Cruz, Republican Party candidates endorsed by President Donald Trump, garnered the top votes in Wilson County to help both appear on November ballots in Texas. Paxton outpolled incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in Wilson County and across the state. Wilson County voters also helped De La Cruz overcome John Lujan to secure the Republican candidacy for new U.S. House District 35.
