Pay Attention! (2 Peter 1:16-21)

Jesus grabbed the attention of Peter, James, and John on top of a high mountain when he was transfigured - changed - right before their eyes, revealing himself to be much more than a normal man. Here was God himself revealing his glory in their presence! He got their attention! Peter encourages us to continue to pay attention to the words and works of Jesus recorded for us in his Word, the Bible. Those works include the very suffering Jesus would endure after descending from that mountain to make his way to the cross, where he would die the death we deserved for our salvation. So during Lent - and always - prayerfully pay attention!
