Payton Sparks is truly the Big Man On Campus, whose tremendous size is matched by his sense of humor and passion for Indiana basketball.Growing up a Hoosier fan in tiny Winchester, the 6'9" and 240 pound big man first stopped at Ball State where he put the MAC on notice, being named conference Freshman of the Year and Kyle Macy Freshman All-American. As a sophomore Payton helped new head coach and IU legend Michael Lewis turn the program around, notching 20 wins and once again filling up the stands with delighted Cardinal fans.With success came opportunity, and still a Hoosier at heart, Payton leapt at the chance to join our beloved program under Coach Mike Woodson.
