Talked with Dr. Alonso. Director, Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County. Since there's been a lot of news coverage about HEP A and measles, Dr. Alonso explained what the diseases were, how they are contracted, preventions, such as vaccines or as simple as washing your hands. We also discussed booster shots, flu/pneumonia shots. The health department is also working closely with other agencies in the community to help address the opioid epidemic in the community.
