Talked with Rob Ranieri, CEO, House of Hope and Kelly Johnson, VP, R.V. Johnson Insurance about House of Hope. It's a charity that serves residents of Martin County. House of Hope provides food, clothing, furniture, financial aide, information/referral, classes, and case management services to Martin County residents in need. They have some great local nutrition gardens that help teach about food/nutrition as well as provide food to local soup kitchens/clients. They also have an agricultural and vocational farm that produces food while teaching basics of gardening. Volunteers are always welcome. Kelly's company volunteers as a group - simply go to www.hohmartin.org and click on the volunteer tab to sign up. All their programs and events are listed there as well.
