PB PERS UnitedWay PBC

Talked with Alexia Savage, Sr VP Communications & Resource Development, United Way PBC. The United Way of Palm Beach County works closely with 211 to help connect people with necessary services. They work has a "Hub/Umbrella" agency funding/coordinating with a host of charities/services in the county. United Way is helping with funding for the folks in the Bahamas and with Bahamian citizens who've come to PBC get assistance. They're also launching a new initiative called Mission United to address the needs of the 80,000 military veterans in our county.
