Peace Bridge Gets Bright New Lights | Belfast News

Derry’s iconic Peace Bridge is finally getting a dazzling makeover after years of dim lighting — a £125,000 LED upgrade will restore its full glow just in time for Halloween. The council, working with the Department for Infrastructure, is replacing old bulbs and refreshing the spires during daytime hours, with temporary access restrictions for pedestrians and cyclists. This isn’t just about fixing lights — it’s about reclaiming a vital piece of Derry’s nighttime identity and civic pride, bringing back the vibrant landmark that’s been a symbol since 2011.
