Peace from God and False Peace from the World
from English Service - WGM Church
2-9-2020 Weekly Messages Meditation of the week: Psalms 23:1-6 Text: Romans 5:1-11 Word title: Peace from God and False Peace from the World When we learned of Gideon’s encounter with the Lord’s angel, he confessed that he had no choice but to die, and when he did not die but gained peace, he thanked him so much, and called that place as JehovahShalon: ” 22And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face. 23And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.24Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites. “(Judge 6: 22-24). That’s right! Shalom, which means peace, is peace that comes when a person who should die should have lived without death. The reason why one should die is “the wages of sin is death.” according to the scripture But by believing in Jesus Christ, all sin must be removed through His blood purifying the conscience and peace with God can be achieved. But sinners who seek only the lust of the flesh and do not realize that they are in death are not able to see the God who gives peace because their sins are not removed, but they live their lives forever in the deception of the Devil, the ruler of the world. they are to live forever and ever in the eternal darkness that is hell. Therefore, those who believe in Jesus Christ and receive eternal life and receive peace from God can live in hope, not fearing the death of the flesh, but looking at the eternal life they enjoy when they put off their bodies. In addition, we can rejoice in hope as we move toward faith in this grace and look forward the day when we will rise again in the day of Christ to meet the Lord of glory. This pleasure is not compared with the temporary happiness or comfort that the world gives for a while. Thus, Apostle Paul wrote to the Saints who lived in trouble in persecution in Rome: ” And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.“(Romans 5: 3-5). Christians, who receive the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ and enjoy peace with God through eternal life, cannot but live in the same body as the people of the world, but when they suffer strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit, they may have endurance even though they are weak in flesh. Also, as we endure, we will experience God’s love that works together for good. Through our trials, we are to be strong in faith, and we are able to minister the saints in the weakness in faith. In addition, through this tribulation, patience, and experience, we realize that the world is no longer the right place to live, so that the hope of heaven is strengthened, so that any difficulty can be overcome and triumphed. No matter how miserable we are, as Apostle Paul testifies, our hope is not to be ashamed with pouring the love of God through the Holy Spirit. Apostle Paul testified of the situation in which he suffered: ” Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; 12And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: 13Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. ……. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. “(1 Corinthians 4: 11-13; 15:19) Apostle Paul testified of believers who lived in persecution long before the New Testament days: ” (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. “(Hebrews 11: 38-40) Apostle Paul exhorted not to worry about anything when he wrote to the Philippian church members and testified of what a peace from God: ” Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus..”(4 : 6-7) When the resurrected Jesus met his disciples, he first spoke of the peace God: ” Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.‘” John 20: 19) But for the past six thousand years, Satan the Devil has tried to deceive the first man so that he may not receive the peace that God gives, so that the people of the world may find peace in pursuit of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. It is still deceiving people as it is best wayto live. Satan the Devil has also used the Principalities, the powers and the rulers in darkness, and wicked spirits in high places has still brainwashed people all over the world with the deception to achieve world peace without Jesus Christ to achieve his new world order. Soon or later, antichrist will propagate his world peace to the people of the world, leading them to destruction by not allowing them to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, King of Righteousness and King of Peace. Long time ago the prophet Daniel had foretold this: ” And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.” (Da 8:25). ) Apostle Paul wrote to the Saints in Thessalonica and testified that the Lord of Judgment will come when people will be deceived by the Antichrist in the end times and call out false peace: ” For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. ” (1 Thessalonians 5: 3) Apostle Paul wrote to the Saints in Rome and testified of how God, who gives true peace, destroys Satan and the antichrist who brought false peace: “ And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.” (Romans 16:20) Amen! Hallelujah!
