Peace in the Process

from Insights Your Daily Word For Daily Living · host thelondonchristianradio

Life doesn’t always give us answers right away. Sometimes we find ourselves stuck in the “middle”—between the prayer and the breakthrough, the diagnosis and the healing, the job loss and the new opportunity. The process can feel uncertain, even frightening. I remember the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1. She was in deep anguish over her barrenness. She prayed, wept, and poured out her heart before the Lord. The miracle didn’t happen instantly—but something shifted in her heart after she prayed. Scripture says she "went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast." (1 Samuel 1:18) What changed? She found peace in the process. God may not always change our circumstances immediately, but He offers us something powerful—His peace. A kind of peace that doesn’t make sense. Peace that steadies us in the storm. Peace that protects our hearts while we wait.
