Peace is a Practice

from River of Life - Cold Spring · host Pastor Denny Curran

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. - Romans 12:2In this series, we have learned that God has promised us peace. God has given us His peace, and now we need to go home and apply it to our lives. We must protect it! We need to develop a discipline. When you claim the promises of God over your life, you activate the promises of God in your life."Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers." -Psalm 1:1-3"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." -Psalm 119:9-11Learn to pray scripture over your life. This will elevate your faith over your fear! Speak it into existence, whether you feel it or not. Remember it. Practice it. Receive it. Peace is a produce. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and faithfulness." -Galatians 5:22Protect your peace, because it takes time to grow! It takes discipline to protect it. As you remain in Jesus Christ, your peace will grow.Do you need peace with God in your life? Offer your sins to Jesus and watch as he gives you His righteousness. You will know that He is speaking to you as you trust Him with your life, marriage, life changes, etc. When you give your life to Christ and work with him, your peace will grow and prosper daily.
