Peace Isn't Perfect—It's Presence
from Quiet In The Night · host Bill Scott
Peace Isn't Perfect—It's Presence So often, we think peace means the absence of problems, but God's peace doesn't wait for circumstances to line up. His peace is not perfection—it's His presence. Jesus told His disciples, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives" (John 14:27). The peace He offers isn't fragile or conditional. It's steady, even when life feels unsteady. True peace is knowing God is with you in the storm. It doesn't mean the storm stops, but that His presence calms your heart in the middle of it. Philippians 4:7 says, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Notice, it's not about understanding the "why" of our pain—it's about resting in the "Who" that walks beside us. You don't have to wait until everything is fixed to breathe deeply and feel safe in God's love. His presence is your anchor. Right here, right now, you can whisper His name and know that He has you. Peace isn't perfect—it's Jesus, present with you. And that's enough.
