PEAKY BLINDERS Season 1 Episodes 1x3 & 1x4 Reaction! | First Time Watch! | Cillian Murphy

Achara & Ashleigh begin their journey with Peaky Blinders Season 1, diving into the gritty crime drama set in post–World War I Birmingham, where the Shelby family rises to power through illegal betting, street control, and calculated ambition. The story centers on Tommy Shelby, a war-scarred leader expanding his empire while facing pressure from rival gangs, political forces, and a determined inspector sent to bring order to the city. This reaction stands out as a first-time watch of a character-driven series known for its slow-burn tension, sharp dialogue, and power plays, as Achara & Ashleigh take in the world-building, shifting loyalties, and early foundations of the Shelby legacy. Created by Steven Knight (Taboo, Locke, Eastern Promises, Spencer, See), the series stars Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, A Quiet Place Part II, 28 Days Later), Sam Neill (Jurassic Park, Event Horizon, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, The Piano, Thor: Ragnarok), Helen McCrory (Harry Potter series, Skyfall, Penny Dreadful, Hugo, The Queen), Paul Anderson (The Revenant, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Legend, Nightmare Alley, Hostiles), and Annabelle Wallis (The Mummy, Annabelle, Malignant, The Tudors, Tag), bringing together a cast that blends prestige drama with recognizable franchise connections that drive strong reaction and fandom crossover appeal. ___________________________________________________ We've got merch!
