Peck’s Big League Debut | Detroit Tigers News

The Detroit Tigers are calling up 24-year-old infielder John Peck for his major league debut — a breakout moment for a seventh-round draft pick who’s been crushing it in Triple-A with a .500 batting average and 11 homers. With playoff hopes gone, the Tigers are focused on avoiding last place, and Peck’s speed, power, and elite defense make him a perfect fit. Scouts rave about his ability to punish mistakes and steal bases — he’s got 22 steals this season. His versatility across infield positions adds depth as the team heads into a crucial series against the Twins. This is more than just a roster move — it’s a glimpse of the future, and Peck’s earned every second of the spotlight.
