PEG Podcast With Yoav Shalev: Redefining how we experience music and visuals I've built HZP - a music streaming app that provides you with the freedom to listen to any song retuned from 440 Hz to any Solfeggio Frequency and 432 Hz, without having to waste precious time converting files. 85 years ago, in 1939, musicians from all over the world were forced to conform to tuning their instruments around the A note at the 4th octave equaling the frequency 440 Hz. While there are many theories why 440 Hz was chosen, I did not find them to be that important since nearly all music recorded since then is tuned and played live at what’s commonly known as the “concert pitch”. The area of sound therapy and healing through music and sound (both heard sound and ultrasound) have been highly researched. Many scientists around the world have already proven that various sound frequencies provide healing benefits that improve our overall human performance. Some researchers have even discovered that certain frequencies are able to kill cancer cells, stop viruses from spreading, cure many different diseases and reverse severe clinical conditions. While curing acute conditions may require complicated medical interventions that also include the use of highly specialized medical instruments, I did come across various sources citing that listening to pure tones and music that was tuned to ‘Solfeggio Frequencies’ and the popular 432 Hz could be highly beneficial for a variety of wellness conditions such as improving sleep, improve immunity, reducing stress and anxiety among others. From my experience of speaking with many doctors and reading about the true origin of most chronic medical conditions I have learned that in 99% of the cases the root cause for disease, illness conditions or otherwise poor medical conditions are somehow attributed to increased levels of stress, anxiety, poor sleep and compromised immunity systems. As COVID was raging around us and forced the pandemic to be top of mind for us all, I became determined to learn more about these frequencies, and find music that was already tuned to them. So I started diving into the rabbit hole only to find that very little music had been returned to, or produced already tuned to these frequencies.
