Em menos de 2 horas, entrará no ar a rádio Fluminense, que até aquele momento não tinha sequer as vinhetas de identificação. Apesar de transmitir com meros três quilowatts de potência, em contraste com os 100 quilowatts da rádio líder do mercado, estes seriam mais do que suficientes para causar um grande estrago no status quo da época e mudar para sempre a cultura radiofônica do país.
