Only a lifetime liberal congresswoman like Nancy Pelosi would risk so much to gain so little. After repeated requests went unanswered from the White House, President Xi proclaimed that any visit to Taiwan would be seen as an existential threat and may constitute military action. Meanwhile, American politicians on both sides are cheering her "agressive stance" taken toward China.
