Penix Jr. Ready to Compete for QB Job | Atlanta Falcons News

The Falcons’ QB race just got a major twist: Michael Penix Jr. is rehabbing like a champ and could be ready to compete for the starting job — not just as a backup, but as a true contender. New QB coach Alex Van Pelt dropped a big hint that once Penix returns, they’ll “reset and look at it from the big picture,” signaling a fair shake for both quarterbacks. While Tua Tagovailoa still looks like the frontrunner with reps and preseason game time, Penix’s progress in 7-on-7 drills and the fresh coaching staff’s willingness to evaluate openly make this more than just a formality. The door’s open — and fans are watching closely. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
