It’s January and time for Junior Days on campus for Penn State, which is roughly two weeks behind, thanks to the team’s need to build its 2026 roster in the transfer portal. Today on the BWI Live Recruiting Show, we’re discussing the latest recruiting news, including the report that the team is in the lead for five-star running back Kemon Spell. Spell was originally committed to the program before decommitting during the team’s three-game losing streak in October. Now, he’s seemingly on the verge of joining the new staff in Happy Valley. So, what do our reporters think of the situation? Snyder and Sean Fitz will discuss what they know of the Spell situation and what they think the timeline for a decision may be for Spell. We’ll discuss the broader impact of getting Spell back in the fold for the team’s reputation in the region and as a staff stepping up to a higher level of competition. Junior Day visits Of course, Spell isn’t the only player visiting this weekend, and he’s not the only elite player in Pennsylvania for this cycle.
