Penn State vs Iowa Preview + Prediction

The Iowa Hawkeyes and Kirk Ferentz travel to Beaver Stadium to play in Penn State Football's annual White Out game. Both teams are 3-0 and ranked in the Top 25, with Penn State being ranked No.7 and Iowa ranked No.24. Both teams also have phenomenal defenses, specifically elite secondaries. On paper, this game looks to be a defensive showdown, but I think the offenses will be involved because they match up with their opposing defense's weaknesses. Iowa's running back Leshon Williams had a breakout performance against Western Michigan and I believe he will test the interior of Penn State's defensive line. Penn State's quarterback Drew Allar has passed for 737 yards and 4 touchdowns, and I think he could expose some of Iowa's shaky pass-defense play. My prediction for this game is Penn State wins by two scores, thanks to big plays by Drew Allar and Keandre Lambert-Smith. Iowa Football will compete, but in my opinion, they do not have the generationally talented defense or scoring offense to win this game in Beaver Stadium.
