Penn State vs Maryland Preview + Prediction | College Football 2023

James Franklin and his team are in a tough spot right now. Penn State Football is coming off of a two-game streak where their offense has looked lethargic and their defense has broken down. I still believe the Nittany Lions are a Top 10 team, but their offense has to improve and their defense and special teams must stay strong in order for the team to have a chance at beating Michigan on November 11th. Mayland Football is not without its own struggles, either. Turnovers, penalties, poor defense, and an offensive line that has fallen off in the past month are not helping head coach Mike Locksley build his program. However, with the Michigan game on the horizon, Penn State might overlook Maryland, allowing the Terps to potentially pull off a massive upset. My prediction is that Penn State dominates in a 30-17, slow-paced game. Maryland is currently on a three-game losing streak and they have allowed a combined 60 points to Illinois and Northwestern, losing those games 24-27 and 27-33 respectively. Despite their struggles on offense, I think Penn State's defense will give the offense multiple opportunities to score and beat up Maryland Football's weak defense.
