Pentagon Polygraph Probe Exposed | US News

The Pentagon’s launching a high-stakes crackdown on leaks, using polygraphs on 50 Joint Staff members — an unprecedented move aimed at rooting out who’s been exposing classified intel to the press. The investigation, itself leaked to the media, has already pulled in officials from CENTCOM and other combatant commands, signaling how sensitive the information is. While no one failed specific questions about media leaks, the scrutiny is intense. A joint task force formed with the DOJ is now hunting down and prosecuting suspected leakers, emphasizing that leaked intel can cost lives. This comes after the DOJ subpoenaed NYT reporters investigating Air Force One security — a clear message: the Pentagon won’t tolerate leaks and is determined to protect national security and troops.
