People Management: How India Does It Better

from Knowledge@Australian School of Business · host UNSWTV

Many leading companies in India have achieved double-digit growth over the past two decades – and their robust results continued throughout the global financial crisis. Research suggests this may be due to Indian employers' superior human resources (HR) practices that avoid much of the short-sightedness embraced by Western capitalism. Indian executives focus on ensuring they bring together people management with business strategy and assiduously track HR performance within operations. But that's not all.
