Virginia studied at Stellenbosch University and made her debut at CAPAB with the title role in Verdi’s Aida. After a long singing career, during which she won all the major awards, Virginia is now Associate Professor in Singing at UCT and among her many successful students are Pretty Yende and Pumeza Matshikita as well as my guest last week Brittany Smith.
