Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Percussionist, Educator & Foundation Executive Director of the CNY Jazz Central Orchestra Larry Luttinger .. We caught up with him to talk about the new 2024 CD If a White Horse from Jerusalem featuring NEA Jazz Master Dave Liebman, the history of the orchestra and his life in music. He has been part of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra for over 20 years and has been an avid arts administrator, music educator and musician. As the founder and Executive Director of CNY Jazz Central, he oversees this not-for-profit performing organization that presents jazz and related improvisatory arts in concert, cabaret, scholastic and festival settings across Upstate New York.
