Perez Steals Base, Royals Win Streak Rides | Kansas City Royals News

Salvador Perez stole a base for the first time since 2021, sparking an eleven-seven Royals win over the Tigers and capping off a perfect seven-game homestand. The offense exploded after his steal, with Kyle Isbel driving in two runs and Nick Loftin launching a three-run homer. Despite a late Tigers rally, Perez doubled and John Rave crushed a monster home run to push the lead to nine-five. Daniel Lynch IV anchored the pitching, and the bullpen held on for the win. With an eight-game win streak now, the Royals—still near the bottom of the AL Central—are just 7.5 games out of a wild card spot with 30 games left, echoing Cleveland’s dramatic turnaround last year. Manager Matt Quatraro keeps the focus on one game at a time as they head into a tough six-game road trip starting with Toronto.
