Perfect Peace

What if we told you there was a cure? A remedy to save you from running in circles, striving to be more, or even chasing what you think is missing from your life? Would you be interested?When we feel overwhelmed or scattered and are searching for answers to why, we often focus on what we believe is “missing” from our lives. When we do this, nothing seems to satisfy us, and we keep running on empty until we have nothing left to give.This week, we continue our series “Back to the Basics,” and today, we’re talking about peace.Living in a state of rest and calmness isn’t far from our fingertips, yet we reach for temporary solutions or quick fixes. Many times, this complicates our lives even more.We need more than a better habit, an attitude change, or a fresh perspective. We need real, lasting, genuine peace. And here’s the plot twist: Peace is not a thing you find—He is a person you cling to.Jesus is our Prince of Peace. The key to peace is to keep our minds set upon Him. Nothing in this world is better than Jesus.Everyone will encounter troubles, hardships, and doubts. And—we have the truth of the Word to cling to. 2 Thessalonians says, “Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance.”This is our prayer for you this week.
