Permit recommended for rock quarry

The Pipestone County Planning Commission during its April 7 meeting recommended that the Pipestone County Commissioners approve a conditional use permit allowing Wm. D. Scepaniak Inc. to operate a rock quarry in the northwest quarter of Section 33 of Eden Township, northeast of Jasper. The recommendation included conditions regarding dust control and traffic, and requiring surety in case the quarry has an adverse effect on nearby wells and a pond.
