The Perry City Council received its annual Open Meetings Act training Feb. 26 from Perry City Attorney Bill Morris. “The purpose of this Open Meetings Act training is for procedural due process to provide the necessary notice and opportunity to be heard for people,” Morris told the council. He also cited the Utah Legislature’s intent behind the statute, for the city to make deliberations and actions publicly and in the open.
