Persecuted Church

Feeling pushed aside can breed fear, anger, and the urge to fight back. Peter tells alienated Christians to resist the sinful desires at war within them and let their good lives answer accusations. They should respect governing authorities and endure unfair treatment without gossip, rebellion, or retaliation, trusting God to judge justly.
