You can still choose positivity in challenging times. It’s always a choice, and I used to forget this. After years of implementing mindful behavior therapy skills, I finally have the awareness to notice my negative patterns. This is a story of my experience of having a difficult day despite my intentions of serving and putting good into the world…which is pretty disheartening. Through the experience, I was reminded that I cannot control other people - only my emotions and reactions.Here’s a summary of what I learned:* All challenges are opportunities for growth.* Reality is shaped by perception, and this can be shifted!* Celebrating small wins is crucial during difficult times. I looked at my progress, not my lack.* Happiness can be a continual choice we make. Are you choosing happiness?* Emotions come and go like waves; they end. This, too, shall pass. After hard times, comes the good. A rainbow after the storm. If you give up fighting during the storm, you’ll miss the rainbow.By accepting my circumstances, I chose to process my emotions as they were. This allowed me to move forward and not stay stuck. So, notice your wins, stay open to positivity even during hard times…keep choosing to get back on the path to happiness.You’re worth it. This is a public episode.
