But there’s also a larger more robust concept of hope that the writers want us to grasp. A hope that “does not put us to shame” and serves as “an anchor for our soul” — a "living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” For Paul and other New Testament writers, this living hope in Christ — and the assurance they find in such hope — is what fills them with strength, faith and endurances for uncertain times.
