Web browsers, loyalty/credit cards, and mobile applications all record vast amounts of personal data.  AI-powered algorithms transform this data into intelligence about the behavior of individuals. Until now it has mainly been benefitting commercial purposes. However, it could be put to better use by being donated to research projects and academic studies which support good causes and improve people’s lives. Speaker: Simon Hessami is the Founder of Doneh, a tech non-profit platform to facilitate personal data sharing with academic institutions. He has a PhD in Mathematics and over ten years of experience in data science and business. Simon is also Head of the UK & Ireland AI Center of Excellence at Sia Partners, a next-generation management consulting firm.
