Perspective

As a teacher, I have been required to return to school today to prepare for the children's start of term next week. I have had a full Summer break of beautiful weather and yesterday it started to break and today, back at school, we had rain all morning. I realise that this comparison really heightens the blessing of constant good weather we have had. This serves as such a good reminder of the necessity to be grateful for our down times, which help us be grateful for our good times. We could so easily take these good times for granted otherwise. If we look at all our circumstances with the perspective of looking through the eyes of God, we can indeed follow Apostle Paul's instruction of, "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4). We can have ongoing hope.
