Ana Maria S. A. Rodrigues (BA and MA, Sorbonne Université; PhD and “Agregação”, University of Minho) is Full Professor at the University of Lisbon since 2002. Previously, she lectured at the University of Minho (1984-2002). She was also Deputy Co-ordinator of the National Commission for the Commemoration of the Portuguese Discoveries (1999-2002). She teaches courses on Medieval History and Gender History at graduate and post-graduate levels and has supervised more than twenty MA and PhD thesis. Her recent research concerns medieval court culture and Queenship. She is a member of the Center for History of the University of Lisbon (CHUL) and of the Research Institute for Medieval Culture (IRCVM) of the University of Barcelona.
