Pet Care For All

from Pets-A-Loud Hosted by Sarah

There is a strong connection between many of us and our companion animals. For those who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, their companion animals are a strong source of mental, physical and emotional support – however getting pet care for their animals can be extremely difficult. On this edition of Pets-A-Loud we are talking about some of the programs that help those in need continue to enjoy the love of an animal – regardless of their circumstances. Also coming up on this edition of JOY’s very own show about pets: We take a look at some of the programs and groups working to help the pets of the homeless. Pets in the Park talks to us about the work they do to provide necessary vet care to those in need. The author of By The Grace of Dog talks to us about her experiences in animal therapy.
