Pete Egbert - ABCA/ATEC NCAA Div. III Coach of the Year

Heading into his 18th season as head coach at Misericordia University, Egbert led the Cougars to their first National Championship this season, with his 600th career win clinching the title game. This year marked back-to-back appearances for the Cougars in the NCAA Division III College World Series, and they also had an appearance in 2018. Misericordia finished the season with a 41-11 record, including a 19-2 mark in conference play. Egbert has been a collegiate coach for 21 seasons between Fitchburg and Misericordia. He has been named Conference Coach of the Year six times and was an ABCA Regional Coach of the Year the past two seasons. Under Egbert's leadership, Misericordia plays an impressive style of baseball, putting pressure on the defense (.318 AVG & 161 SB), pitching at an elite level (3.77 ERA), and taking care of the ball defensively (.969 FLD).
