Continuing in the gospel of John, Peter looks at popularity and what it means to be a Christian when Jesus is unpopular. Friendship can accommodate views which don’t like Jesus to build trust but accommodating other views is not the same as conforming to them. The truth is that opposition is to be expected in faith, but through it we draw nearer to Christ and know more of God’s resurrection power.
